DigSon Anemometro ATEX

The DigSon is an intrinsically safe anemometer, specifically developed for use in hazardous areas and in particular for offshore applications.

The system combines the latest technological developments with Gill's considerable experience in the production of solid state anemometers. The intrinsically safe Digson is a lightweight and robust unit, completely sealed and constructed from stainless steel.

With a low start-up speed (0.01 m/s) and no moving parts, the intrinsically safe WindObserverIS anemometer shows significant advantages over standard three-cup anemometers. This intrinsically safe anemometer is Atex and IECeX certified to ensure that the wind system can be implemented on a global basis without the need for expensive local certifications.

Wind speed and direction data is provided via a bi-directional RS422 or RS232 link and the output can be configured by the user to provide a variety of communication formats including a choice of units and averaging periods. A sophisticated error checking system and error reporting system are provided as standard, ensuring user confidence in the data reported.
