The RH1 air humidity meter is an easy-to-use device for the rapid determination of relative and absolute air humidity as well as the dew point temperature of the surrounding air. In addition, by holding the device on wood or paper, the equilibrium moisture content (EMC) and water content in the material can be determined. At the same time, the current temperature is displayed for each measurement, optionally in °C or °F. The measuring range of the RH1 hygrometer is from 0 to 100% relative humidity with a resolution of 0.1%. The calibrated measuring range, in which the measurement is within the defined tolerance limits, is from 10% to 90% relative humidity, where the accuracy of ±1.5% relative humidity (at 25°C) is achieved. The temperature measuring range is from -10 to +60 °C or from 14 to 140 °F, with a resolution of 0.1 °C. The accuracy is ± 0.4 °C. It is also possible to manually save the current readings or save them automatically at defined intervals. The device can record up to 10,000 readings, which can be provided with additional information such as the measurement location, batch number or supplier data. On request the device is also available with a USB interface for connection to a PC. Using this interface with the supplied USB cable and the included PC software you can transfer the stored values to your PC, where you can edit, analyse and store the data. If you opt for the RH1 with interface, you can print the stored measurements directly from the device on the available separate printer without having to transfer data to your PC.

Thermal calibration (temperature) is achieved by raising (or lowering) the temperature sensor to a known controlled temperature and measuring the corresponding change in the associated electrical parameter (voltage or resistance).

The parameters are accurately measured against those of a certified reference probe; the absolute difference represents the calibration error. If the sensor is connected to a measuring instrument, the sensor and instrument combination can be effectively calibrated with this technique.
