BP1 Moisture Meter for Pellets
The humimeter BP1 wood pellet moisture meter is a powerful moisture meter for determining the water content of all standard wood pellets and special pellets. Schaller GmbH is the developer and manufacturer of this pellet moisture meter suitable for industrial applications.
The integrated data log of the humimeter BP1 wood pellet moisture meter allows you to save measurement values and add additional data. You also have the option of using the Hold function. This function freezes the last measured value of the water content of the wood pellets on the display until another button is pressed.
To increase the accuracy and reproducibility of the measurement, the measurement is compensated per hectoliter by precise weighing of the sample quantity. For this reason, the wood pellet moisture meter is supplied with a scale and a measuring cup, which ensure that the bulk density does not influence the measurement result.
The entire series of moisture meters is calibrated and verified according to the calibratable oven drying method CEN/TS14961:2005.
At the same time, the wood pellet moisture meter also measures the temperature of the sample and includes it in the calculation of the water content. The temperature range is from 0 °C to 40 °C and can be set to °C or °F as required.
The calibrated measuring range of our humimeter BP1 wood pellet moisture meter is from 3% to 20% water content (depending on the product).
Another feature of the humimeter BP1 wood pellet moisture meter is the optionally available USB interface. This interface allows the device to be connected to a PC. Using the supplied LogMemorizer software, you can read the measured values from the device, add additional information and archive, export and process the data. At the touch of a button, the measured water content, sample temperature and additional information as well as special device data can be output to the interface and processed by other PC programs.
As an accessory for this wood pellet moisture meter, a portable and handy thermal printer is available. With this printer, the saved data can be printed directly on site without a PC. The printouts can be handed over as a receipt to suppliers.
Handling / measuring procedure
To ensure long-term accurate measurement values, the wood pellet moisture meter BP1 automatically carries out a self-calibration after switching on the moisture meter. The corresponding calibration curve can then be selected.
Then, the measuring camera of the wood pellet moisture meter is filled with the corresponding amount of material. To determine the exact amount, the humimeter device is supplied with a scale and a measuring cup.
The water content can be read immediately on the large, well-lit display of the humimeter BP1 wood pellet moisture meter and, if necessary, stored via the integrated data log.
