Photometer DEN-600 To prevent the formation of mold
The DEN-600 is a compact, portable, and rechargeable battery-powered photometer. Its optical system with a 600 nm wavelength allows for measurements as follows:
- Estimated total cell number (OD600)
- Turbidity measurement method (McFarland (McF))
- Protein concentration measurement (Bradford protein assay method)
The device serves as an economical alternative to the spectrophotometer, commonly used for these applications. Since the DEN-600 is battery-powered and compact, it can be conveniently placed in a biosafety cabinet, an anaerobic chamber, or moved quickly.
The cuvette holder can accommodate standard 10 mm cuvettes, round-bottom tubes, conical vials, or Falcon tubes.
USB connectivity and DEN software allow for data transfer, processing, and calculation.
Applications
- Cell concentration measurement
- Cell growth data estimation
- Log phase estimation for microbial cell induction
- Competent cell preparation
- Bradford protein assay method
- Antibiotic sensitivity testing
- Inhibitory assays
